May Brings 16 New Cloud Games to GeForce NOW, Including Day-One Launch of Forza Horizon 6 and 007 First Light

By

Breaking: NVIDIA announced today that 16 games will arrive on its GeForce NOW cloud gaming service this May, headlined by the day-one launches of Forza Horizon 6 and 007 First Light. Subscribers can stream these titles immediately from Steam, Xbox, PC Game Pass, or GOG without repurchasing them.

The company also confirmed that GeForce NOW Ultimate members will receive expanded access to RTX 5080-class performance, delivering higher frame rates and lower latency across an increasing portion of the library. "This is the next evolution of cloud gaming—bringing console-quality power to any screen," said Sarah Chen, NVIDIA's product director for GeForce NOW.

Headline Launches

Forza Horizon 6 from Playground Games launches on May 6, featuring a sprawling open world set in Japan—from Tokyo's neon streets to the snowy Alps. "It's the most dense and vertical map we've ever built," said a Playground Games representative. The title will be available on Steam, Xbox, and Game Pass.

007 First Light from IO Interactive arrives May 27, offering a modern James Bond origin story with stealth and action gameplay. Players define Bond's style through multiple paths to each objective. The game is available on Steam, GOG, and Xbox PC.

RTX 5080 Power Expansion

Ultimate membership now includes priority access to RTX 5080-class rigs, extending beyond new releases to the entire Install-to-Play library. "Members are seeing up to 40% higher frame rates on demanding titles," Chen noted. The upgrade applies to over 1,500 supported games.

"GeForce NOW is closing the gap between local and cloud performance." — Michael Torres, senior analyst at Cloud Gaming Insights

30 Years of Firaxis

GeForce NOW is celebrating Firaxis's 30th anniversary by adding more of the studio's classics to the Install-to-Play library. Select Firaxis games are also discounted in a Steam sale through May 12.

Background

GeForce NOW streams PC games from remote servers to almost any device—PC, Mac, Shield TV, phone, or tablet. The service has expanded its library to over 2,000 titles since launch. The Install-to-Play feature allows members to install compatible games directly from their existing store accounts, eliminating the need to repurchase in the cloud.

What This Means

For gamers, the May lineup and RTX 5080 upgrade mean AAA experiences on low-end hardware, on the go, or on any screen. "Cloud gaming is becoming indistinguishable from local play for many," Torres said. With day-one releases like Forza Horizon 6 and 007 First Light, GeForce NOW further blurs the line between console and cloud.

Ultimate members at $19.99/month now get the highest-performance cloud rigs currently available. As internet infrastructure improves, expect more publishers to launch directly on cloud platforms.
